OSSLT Information (aka Literacy
Test) Kretz -- Just a reminder to all dance team members that your first morning practice starts tomorrow morning at 8:00.
Hunt -- MOSAIC is SWC's anti-bullying and LGBTQ support group. We have a new meeting time - Tuesday mornings at 8:30 . If you are interested in getting involved on our semester 2 projects, please come to room 104 tomorrow morning.
Hoffner -- Yearbook Committee meeting today after school in Room 214.
Hancock -- Grade 12 Drama students, remember the Alice in Highschool mandatory meeting after school today in the aud. Hancock All student who participated in Commotion, there will be a meeting in Room 119 on Wed. It will last about an hour and you will be filmed.
Johnston & Spence -- To all environmentally conscious bulldogs, we will be resuming Our Earth / Eco club meeting TONIGHT after school in room 203. Meetings will be held every Monday. New members welcome. As spring approaches there is a lot to be done. Looking forward to seeing you all tonight!
Gemella -- DECA business team members, we will be having our first meeting of the semester today after school in room 212.
Cegys -- String ensemble and orchestra rehearsals will start next week on Tuesday ,February 14th ,and Thursday the 16th. New members are welcome to join us for the second semester. See you there!
Sayliss -- Concert Choir Today, after school in the Music room... followed by Jazz Band!! New members welcome!
Hunt -- Attention all Rowers - your mandatory swim test and safety video viewing will be taking place on Wednesday February 15. Please mark the date and stay tuned for further information.
Kilroy -- The wrestling team participated in the age group provincial championships held at Brock on the weekend the results were as follows: Grace Bannerman 1st Clare Johnson 4th Jake Johnson 6th All wrestlers should know that there is no practice tonight but need to attend Tuesday's practice as we need to set up for the tournament on Wednesday.
Rode -- Congratulations to both the boys and girls curling teams for their exceptional play on the weekend in the Gore Regionals. The girls team lost the A semi final game and unfortunately did not qualify for the provincials. However the boys team of Mondloch, Hughes, Sayliss, Sayliss and Freve dominated the tournament and won. They now are one of 8 teams playing in the provincial championships from February 15-18 in Orangeville. Good luck boys.
Rode -- Final league curling game this Thursday. Please meet in the east foyer at 2:15 for rides to Grimsby.
Lupish -- Did you see the SWC Sportfishing Club Promo Video this morning? Questions? See Mr. Lupish.
Perron -- All score keepers and timers for both basketball and volleyball, there is a single basketball game TONIGHT versus Holy cross please be in the gym by 3:20. Also there is a double Header volleyball game vs. H.C. Tommorrow Tuesday Feb.7th , please be prompt.
Glantz -- It's playoff time for the girls hockey team. First game is Tuesday at 1:30 pm against BT at Ridley. The second game is Wednesday at 2 pm at Peach King Arena. There will be a brief meeting for players right after school today in the TV studio. |

Tomorrow is Ugly Sweater Thursday. You know you have one--dust it off and put 'er on tomorrow. There will be a hot chocolate & treat wagon circling the halls, looking for those ugly sweaters!

Hancock -- Any students interested in a trip to Laura Secord Secondary School to see their musical production The Drowsy Chaperone, see Ms. Hancock in Room 119 or Mr. Nickel for a permission form. The cost of the trip is $5 and will take place on Wed. Feb. 29 from 11:30 to 2:30.

Hunt -- Winter Leadership Camp Participants - we will be having a meeting Thursday February 16 at the beginning of senior lunch in room 117. Attendance is mandatory - please be on time.
Sayliss -- There is a full concert band rehearsal today after school - we will be starting new music and new members are welcome! Rode -- A Blackberry Bold is missing from the girls changeroom. If anyone finds it please return to the girls PE office. Hunt -- Rowers: There will be a meeting Monday after school to give details about the mandatory safety video and swim test which is next Wednesday February 15. You will not be allowed on the water without a lifejacket unless the swim test is passed. Mark the date and be at the meeting to get all the details. Monday, 3:20 in the cafeteria.

Glantz -- A BIG congratulations goes out to the girls hockey team as they swept their best out of three semi-final series against BT, two games to none. In Tuesday's 6-5 win goal scorers were Sarah Davies and Mackenzie Addison with one goal each, while Jessica Wallace and Becy Terc each had a pair. In Wednesday's 6-0 win goal scorers were Andrea Edwards, Carly Glantz, Steph Stanov, Sam McGill, Connor McGuire and Mary Haj-Ahmad. Next stop, the zone finals.
Kilroy -- Congatulations to those wrestlers that participated in the Junior SOSSA championships and the All Star Dual meet that was held yesterday in our Gym. Both Louise Ward and Grace Bannerman won their respective matches in the dual meet while the Juniors represented SWC extremely well in the tournament. Phoenix Howe won with Adam.
Ward -- Coming second along with Jake Johnson and Courtney Long-Wood. Kaitlyn Wood placed third and Ross Horsley wrestled tough to come 5th. The coach would also like to give a big thanks to all those that helped to make the tournament run very smoothly. It was a big undertaking and everyone worked extremely hard to pull it off. A special thanks goes to Mr Glantz and his tech department for creating a great production of the All Star dual meet. |

Robineau-- The SWC Reach Team have started their competitive season by going undefeated in their six games. Congratulations on a fine effort.
Lupish -- Attention everyone interested in the SWC Sportfishing Club. There will be a meeting in the shop after school on Monday. This will be an important meeting so please make sure you attend if you are interested in joining this club.
Busca -- All students going to the Skills Canada Provincial Cardboard Boat Championship on February 21 please see Mr.Busca in the shop after school today.
Hunt -- A reminder to all rowers of the safety video and swim test on Wednesday of next week. Video to be shown Both activities are mandatory requirements for getting on the water. See Ms. Hunt for more info if necessary.
Pomeroy -- Anybody who is interested in playing school lacrosse this year there will be a meeting held Monday after school in the lower caf. Anyone can come including girls. Don't be scared. And we're not good so no pressure. |
