Rowan’s Law was passed in March 2018. On the last Wednesday of September, Ontario schools will celebrate Rowan’s Law Day.
This is a day to engage students, families, and educators in activities that increase awareness about concussions, promote a culture of safety, and share Rowan’s story. We believe that education, and involving students, educators, and families in concussion awareness activities will positively promote understanding and injury prevention.
At Sir Winston Churchill, sample lessons and media resources about Rowan's Law and Concussion Awareness are being used in our grade 9 Health and Physical Education classes. We will also be hosting Concussion Awareness activities in the cafeteria during the lunch hour on the 26th.
Show your support by wearing purple on Wednesday, September 26th!!
